John "Samuel" Keeling, age 65 of New Blaine, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born April 1, 1957 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late John Samuel Keeling and Clara A. Geels. He spent thirteen years in the Navy as an Aviation Administrator before he was medically retired. He loved the outdoors. Fishing, hiking, trail riding, and he loved to build things. He especially loved spending time with kids and teaching them how to make cool things out of scrap. But most of all, he loved spending time at home with his wife having cooking contests for fun, or just watching movies. Anything to make her smile made him happy. He was also thrilled that he found out he had a grandchild from his son, Casey, but unfortunately they never got to meet. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, John Samuel Keeling II; one brother, Cleve Keeling and a sister, Sheila Hallum.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Jennifer Franklin Keeling; her four children of the home, Stormi, Waylon, Kristopher and Hunter; one son, Casey Keeling and wife Ashley and their son; one sister, Vickey Arender and husband Jack of Bentonia, MS and three brothers, Randy Keeling and wife Lynda of Rogers, AR, Anthony Keeling and wife Denette of Centerville, AR, and Bryant Keeling of Bryant, TX.
