John Samuel Metcalf age 62 of Dardanelle passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home. He was born June 1, 1958 at Farmersville, California to the late Sam Metcalf and Rose Hogue Metcalf. He attended the Pottsville Assembly of God Church, he loved spending time with his Family, watching his sons, grandchildren and his "adopted nieces and nephews" play sports, watching NASCAR, racing and football.  One of his truest joys was going mudding in his side by side on the weekends, and spending time with his girls, Presley and Gracie.  He was a life-long Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed his job as a truck driver.  He had a heart of gold and will to overcome that was loved by all.  He never let anything in his life hold him down, always offered encouragement to others and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bud Metcalf; two sisters, Mary Petee, Glenda Estes and his father-in-law and best friend, Lynn Tidwell.

Survivors include his wife, Wendi Baskin Metcalf; two sons, Johnathan Metcalf (Stephanie), Josh Metcalf (Keora); one brother, Charlie Metcalf (Stacy); three sisters, Deb Tafoya, Sammie Adkins (Obie), Carol Metcalf; mother-in-law, Sherry Tidwell; seven grandchildren, Porchia Metcalf, John Paul Metcalf, Jayci Metcalf, Jordan Metcalf, Kaleb Metcalf, Noah Metcalf, and Samuel Metcalf; many nieces and nephews and his dearly loved girls, Gracie and Presley.

Visitation will be Monday, June 8 ^th 2020 at the Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  Visitation hours will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A small private memorial service will be conducted with the Family.
