John Keith (George) Stokes, age 59, of Dardanelle, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born on February 7, 1964 in Visalia, California to Charles and Barbara Stokes. Keith was preceded in death by his parents.

Keith was a member of Russellville Missionary Baptist Church. He worked as the Agriculture Project Manager for Senator Tom Cotton. He was also the live mascot handler for Tusk and the University of Arkansas. Keith served on the Chambers Memorial Hospital advisory board.

Keith spent the majority of his days farming in Harkey Valley. He was a friend and mentor to everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Julie Stokes; two children, Chip Stokes (Lori) and Abbey Stokes-Hess (Tanner); his beloved grandchildren, Colt and Caroline Stokes; bonus son, Chris Johnson (Stacy); his sister, Karen Rose (Stevie); aunts, Mary Lou Laska and Dorothy Haire; and numerous cousins.

Family was everything to Keith. He was the most loving husband, caring father, and cherished George.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Dardanelle Community Center. The visitation will be from 12 to 2 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 pm. A private burial will take place at Harkey's Valley Cemetery in Chickalah, AR.

Pallbearers will be Mark Thone, Cody Burkham, Len Cotton, Tom Cotton, Kevin Trainor, Wes Ward, Philip Hydron and Ty Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Allan Kirkland, Jason Pitts, David Bazzel, Braxton Wenk, Elvis Moya, Bill Pitts, Tom Post, Doug Coutts, Dr. John Davis, John David Keeling and Jimmy Witt.
