John Ed Vestal age 94 of Dardanelle, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Mitchell's Nursing and Rehab in Danville. He was born June 14, 1931 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Ed Vestal and Grace Haney Vestal. John Ed served in the Korean War, and a member of the VFW. He loved working in the garden, walking the trails at the park and he loved nature. He was pawpaw to all the grandkids and was called Sonny Boy. John Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Margaret Turner Vestal; brother, Billy James Vestal; sister, Bobby Sue Callahan; grandson, Seth Allen Brewer; and two daughters, Pamela Vestal Mobley and Ladonna (LD) McCollum.

Survivors include his special grand daughter and caregiver, Kacey Mobley; two children, Kay McMullen (Robert), Vicky Jackson (Steve); sister, Maggie Jane Brown; grandchildren, Jamie Ward (Anna), Travis Ward, Kayti Lewis (Dylan Whitted), Lindsey McCollum, Cassidy Brewer (Levi), Robby McMullen and great grandchildren, Skylar Ward, Amber Hopkins (Joshua), Abby Jackson, Zack Jackson, Gracie Jackson, Bentley Lewis, Harper Lacefield, Hudson Lacefield, Greyson McCollum, Jada McMullen and Tyler McMullen.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle.
