Johnnie R. Spears, 96 of Ola, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Chambers Memorial in Danville. She was born December 5, 1919 at Briggsville to the late Van and Ruby McBride Dawson. She retired from working in medical records. She was a member of the Briggsville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Spears loved to fish, sew, cook, and play the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William "Bill" Spears; son, Billy Keith Spears; grandson, Mike Spears; four sisters, Merle McCall, Macie Dischard, Irene Click, Sammie Montgomery; and one brother, Robert Dawson

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Spears of Waldron; grandson, Tim Spears (Michelle) of Ola; great granddaughters, Lauren Spears of Conway, Megan Damon of Clarksville; great-grandsons. Michael Spears (Deanna) of Russellville, Timothy Spears of Minnesota, Adam Spears of Ola; Tucker Spears of Ola; great-great granddaughters, Addison Wren of Conway and Emery Spears of Russellville.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26th at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Briggsville.
