Johnny Hewitt Johnny Marvin Hewitt age 64 of Springfield died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his home. He was born May 16, 1949 at Jonesboro to the late Jesse Henry and Verna Hufford Hewitt. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Donna Hewitt, Wanda Holt; two brothers, Lloyd Hewitt, Jackie Hewitt. Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Bird and husband Bingo of Mt. George, Henrietta Barker of Morrilton, Penny Cates and husband Marty of Springfield; eight siblings, Verna Mae Johnson and husband Ted of Birta, Wilburn Hewitt of Weiner, Geraldine Scifres and husband Claude of Texas, Marshall Hewitt and wife Cassie of Belleville, Lois Guthrie of Weiner, Dolly Howard of Weiner, Anthony Hewitt of Ola, Helen Hewitt of Ohio; six grandchildren, William Kyle Barker and wife Jennifer of Conway, Erika Jewel Barker of Morrilton, Haley Ren'ee Rogers of Springfield, Hope Elizabeth Rogers of Springfield, Edith Rose Cates of Springfield, Jesse James Cates of Springfield; close friend, Roger Noland. Memorial services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Kyle Barker officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Cremation Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
