Johnny Ray Lawrence, age 71 of Ola, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his home. He was born September 20, 1952 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Robert Lawrence and Bobbie Sue Dacus Lawrence. He was a 1970 graduate of Ola High School where he was a sharpshooter on the Mustang basketball team.  He retired from Deltic Farm & Timber after 35 years.  He loved hunting, fishing, horse racing, and going to Oaklawn. He also loved watching the weather so he could keep his family informed of any storms. He enjoyed driving around town checking on his friends and neighbors.  Most of all he loved his kids and grandkids. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charlie Lawrence and his brother-in-law, Robert Whitten.

Survivors include his three children, Josh Lawrence (Bree), Jessica Branham (Clay), Jennifer Barnes (Robert Vogler); mother of his children, Janet Lawrence; one sister, Mary Lawrence; three brothers, Eddie Joe Lawrence, Larry Don Lawrence, Jimmy Lynn Lawrence; six grandchildren, Alleigh Lawrence, Talan Lawrence, Konnor Barnes, Korbin Barnes, Ava Branham, Ella Branham and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at 6:00P.M., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle.
