Johnny Nelson Sides Sr. age 83 of Danville, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.

John was born February 1, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Robert & Lorene May Sides. He was retired after 32 years at Firestone where he was supervisor/warehouse manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Eugene Sides; sister, Linda Sue Sides Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Willmah Judith "Judy" Harrison Sides; son, Johnny N. Sides (Karen) of Van Buren; daughter, Lori Gillespie (Randy) of Danville; brother, Jimmie Lee Sides (Mara) of Mustang, OK.; sister, Loretta Sides Downs of Yukon, OK.; brother, Virgil Joseph Sides of Kent, WA.; grandchildren, Annie Gillespie, Abby Gillespie-McDaniel (Brandon), Alyshia Sides Battiest (James), and Jamie Ridgley; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Fender, Gabrial Fender, Draven Battiest, Lodonna Guidry, Conner Maclsaac and Dustin McDaniel.

Pallbearers include Johnny N Sides Jr., Tommy May, Mike May, Howard Wayne Davis, Harold Lee Pyle and Doc Davis.

Honorary pallbearer, Ricky May.

Funeral service will 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church in Belleville. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church. Burial will be at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery.
