Johnny Ray "John Boy" Summit, age 67 of Ola, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville.
Johnny was born on October 13, 1952 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Virgle and Bernice Summit. He was a member of the Ola Freewill Baptist Church and the Main Mountain Hunting Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and gardener extraordinaire. He retired from Deltic Farm and Timber in 2003 after 25 years of being a dedicated employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgle and Bernice Summit; Step-Father; Faye Rhodes, his sister, Betty Surrett; brother-in-law, Rick Robison and niece, Nina Owens.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Summit of Ola, Arkansas; sister, Brenda Robison of Casa, Arkansas; Two Step-Brothers, Bobby and Phyllis Rhodes of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Jerry and Nancy Rhoades of Gravelly, Arkansas; ten children, Tammy and Steve Vincent of Perkins, Oklahoma, Charles and Kristie Summit of Cushing, Oklahoma, Laura and Matt Kent of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Stephanie and Chase Hubbard of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Tammy West of Ola, Arkansas, Teresa and Mastin Ford of Harris Brake, Arkansas, Terri and Bobby Wells of Gravette, Arkansas, Jim Bowman of Birta, Arkansas, Christina and Marsha Foley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, James and Jennifer Wolff of Lexington, South Carolina; his sweet little dog, Buddy; twenty seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Services will be officiated by Bro. John David Keeling and Bro. Bobby Wells
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Ola Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 P.M. to 5:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Johnny Lawrence, Larry Rose, Jackie Carter, Andy Tanner, William Damon, Gary Carter and Darren Burfield.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Main Mountain Hunting Club.
