Joshua Dale "Josh" Metcalf age 27 of Ola passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was born May 1, 1986 in Russellville, AR to Dewey Joe & Melissa Diane George Metcalf. Josh was a great husband, loving father, loving son & grandson. He was all about taking care of his family. He was preceded in death by his father Dewey Joe Metcalf. Survivors include his wife Jessica Metcalf; children Caden Hunter & Joshlyn Diane Metcalf; mother Melissa George; sister Amber Metcalf; brother Dillon Metcalf all of Ola; grandparents, Jack & Charlotte Green of Russellville; Frankie George of Birta; Coleman & Kate Metcalf of Briggsville; father-in-law, Johnny Stokes of Aly; nieces, Chamber Nicole Hale of Ola; Kinley Metcalf of Ola. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Birta Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Randall Gilbert and Rev Lacey Minnie officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Nick Metcalf, Morgan Lambert, Philip Carter, Ty Stokes, Bobby Solley and Jason Solley. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Solley and John Hughes.
