Joyce Stewart Bata, age 86 of Dardanelle, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her home. She was born August 22, 1936 in Flippin, Arkansas to the late Loyd F. Stewart and Ola Lea Shoemaker Stewart. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and she loved sewing and poetry. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Bobby L. Bata and her sister, Janey Gentry.

Survivors include her children, Cindy B. Brumley (Michael) of Garland, Texas, Steve H. Bata (Bonnie) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, David L. Bata (Lisa) of Clarksville, Tennessee; brothers, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Stewart, Joe Stewart, Johnny Stewart; four grandchildren, Stacey L. Grimes, Stephanie N. Ferrell, Scott H. Bata, Kyle R. Bata; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle with Ira Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Vacation Bible School Program.
