Joyce Pauline "Polly" Carter age 92 of Belleville passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Mitchells Nursing Home.

Polly was born October 5, 1932 in Olio, Arkansas to the late Roy & Verla Wade Hale Sr. She was a poultry and cattle farmer,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dencil Carter; parents; son, Gary Carter; daughter, Denise Carter; infant daughter, Linda Carter; brothers, Ellis Hale, Roy Hale Jr., Leslie "Sonny" Hale; and sister Audrey Tinder.

Survivors include her children, Lynn Carter; Steve & Donna Carter all of Belleville; Darrell & Lydia Carter of Havana; Lisa & Danny Owens of Plainview; sister Carolyn & Tommy Hill; brother, Ira "Lindy" & Jean Hale; daughter-in-law, Linda Carter Taylor; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be10:00 am Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Dardanelle Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am before the service at the chapel.  Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
