Juanita "Barnez" Crites, age 90 of Dardanelle, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born August 2, 1932 in Rover, Arkansas to the late Melvin and Minnie Westcott. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Centerville and she was employed by Dardanelle School and Dardanelle Hospital. She loved fishing, sewing, quilting, gardening and singing gospel music. Barnez was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Minnie Westcott; her husband, Joe Gillham Crites; two brothers, Ralph Westcott, Darrell Westcott; one granddaughter; one grandson and one great great grand daughter.

Survivors include four children, Larry Crites (Betty) of Dardanelle, Joe Dennis Crites (Jeanie) of Dardanelle, Becky Wilson (David) of Ashdown, Randy Crites of Rover; brother, Waymond Westcott (Jeannie) of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday, June 5, 2023 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jeremy Bull officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be private in Hunt's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
