Obituary

Judy George Padgett-Emery gained her angel wings peacefully Monday, April 15, 2024 at Mitchells Nursing Home with family by her side.

Judy was born March 4, 1945 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Robert Jack & Johnnie Foster George. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Loved to read, being outside, loved animals, listening to the birds sing and she loved her coke and ice cream.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Emery; parents; her twins, Mary & Martha Padgett; siblings, Bobbie Jack George, Asilee George, Franklin George, Peggy Coffman, and Carolyn Cook.

Survivors include her sons, Lynn & (Karen) Padgett of Raleigh, North Carolina; Rick & (Bunny) Padgett of Danville; sister June McReynolds of Ola; grandchildren, Alyssa Padgett, Heather Padgett both of Raleigh, North Carolina; Kayla & (Josh) Zimmer of Russellville and Cade Padgett of Perryville; great-granddaughter, Lainey Zimmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Celebration of life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Mt. George Church of Christ with Rev. Tom Sullinger officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. George Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Cade Padgett, Josh Zimmer, Clint Miller, Bill Gilkey, Paul Padgett and Robert Mitchell.

Honorary pallbearers include Johnna Phillips, Kay Cox, Robin Sullinger, Dr. Philip Tippin & staff, and her Mitchells Nursing Home family.
