La Velle George, 86 of Belleville, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born September 28, 1926 in Bristol Township, Arkansas to the late Homer and Myrtle Hogue Stone. She was a cashier for Russellville Wal-Mart and a member of the Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bruce George; a daughter Tommie George Couch; a brother; and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters a son-in-law, Judy and Milton Robertson of Conroe, Texas and Patty Golightly of Belleville; 6 grandchildren; and two sisters. Graveside service will be Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Lower Spring Creek Cemetery, Danville with Rev. Mark King officiating. The family will receive visitors at Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church after the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
