Larry Eugene "Weasel" James age 72 of Ola passed away Tuesday, January 10, 202 at his home.

Larry was born May 13, 1950 in Danville, Arkansas to Jim & Lucille Jones James. He was a retired truck driver, he loved fishing, hunting and running dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Brenda Louise Howard James; sons, Stephen & Karen Baskin of Plainview; Rusty James of Birta; brother, Tommy & Karen James of Waveland; grandchildren, Kaleb Baskin of Plainview; Brandon James of Ranger; McKayla & Wesley Stern of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Cole and Weston James; nephew, Michael James; niece, Tammy McConaha; sisters-in-law, Linda & Nathan Abernathy; and Gayle Faulkner; nieces & nephews, Eddie & Ann Abernathy, Sherry & Freddie Jones, B.C. & Donna Rankin, Brett & Melissa Faulkner, and Brad & Kim Faulkner; and several other nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday 13, 2023 at the Casa Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 12, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Birta Cemetery.

Pallbearers include, Freddie Jones, Austin Foster, B.C. Rankin, Brett Faulkner, Brad Faulkner and Wayne Steele.
