Laveda Lee Hunt, 81 of Plainview, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Mitchells Nursing Home in Danville. She was born January 14, 1939 in Hot Springs to the late Orval "Cottontop" and Inez Cathey Bowen. She was a wife, mother, and for several years worked as a substitute teacher. She and her husband Pastor Monroe Hunt pastored many churches. They also were park attendants for the Corp of Engineers for many years,

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orval "Cottontop" Bowen and Inez Bowen Riley; step-dad, Audie Riley; daughter, Jeanette Hunt; and grandson, Josh Woodward.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Monroe Hunt; children, Monte (Sonja) Hunt, Marty Hunt (Terri Somers), Jackie Vaughn (Donald), June James (Rob McClendon); sister Laveane Lovelady (Scott); 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and the staff at Mitchell's Nursing Home.

Due to the Corona Virus a memorial service will be held at a later date.
