Laverne Ballew age 88 of Perryville passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her home. She was born July 24, 1926 in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Clois & Edna Wilson Dennis. She was a member of the Cherry Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Jack" Ballew; daughter Pat Ballew; parents; sister, Lavonne Martin. Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Martha & David Maxwell of Perryville; sister Mary K. Short of Winnsboro, LA and numerous nieces, nephews friends and family. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Scott and Bro Ronny Morris officiating. Burial will be at Nooner Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the funeral home. Pallbearer include Noel Ballew, Denis LaCook, Steve Moore, Gary Hawks, Russell Henderson and Jeffery Burris.
