Berry
May 28, 1934 – December 17, 2025
LC Berry age 91 of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Dardanelle, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born May 28, 1934 in Newton County, Arkansas to the late James Oliver Berry and Dephia Mae Harris Berry. LC was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Dardanelle and he was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Berry; one brother, Vernie Berry and two sisters, Joyce Estes and Peggy James.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Smith, Gail Hill, David Hutchins (Michelle), Mary Rodgers (Butch); grandchildren, Brandon, Robert, Chris, Zach, Crystal, Brenda, Tiffany, Paul; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and a loving church family.
LC, lovingly known as "Popa," was a kind, gentle, and deeply loving man whose life was a blessing to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and music wherever he went.
Popa loved his wife with his whole heart. Bonnie Berry was his entire world, and their love was a beautiful example of devotion, faith, and partnership. His family meant everything to him, and he took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren—whether taking them fishing, sharing stories, or making music together.
Music was one of Popa's greatest gifts. He had a deep love for it and an extraordinary talent that many admired. It was often said that Popa could play any instrument with strings, and he shared that gift freely—singing, playing, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
Popa's love, kindness, and music will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the love he gave, the songs he played, and the family he cherished so dearly.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30P.M., Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Apostolic Lighthouse in Dardanelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tupelo Children's Mansion Inc., 1801 East Main Street, Tupelo, Mississippi 38804.
