William "Leo" Tramel age 92 of Belleville passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his home.

Leo was born July 27, 1924 in Belleville to the late Samuel Valentine & Amanda Flossie Carrauthers Tramel. He served his country in 1943 with the US Navy. He was a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge 394. He worked construction building bridges and dams and later retired as custodian of the Belleville School District.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Cheryl Denise Tramel.

Survivors include his wife Lavern of 68 years, lovingly known as Grunn; sons & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Marcia Tramel of Belleville; Terry "Ted" Tramel of Belleville; grandchildren, William Todd Tramel; Helen Elizabeth Tramel; Diana Ruth & Barry Brand of Belleville; Teresa Marie Tramel of Dardanelle; great-grandchildren, Emily Jean, Whitley Kay, Lillyann Grace, Josey Lane all of Poteau, OK; Alexa Denise of Belleville; Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be 3 pm Friday, December 9, 2016 at Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Masonic Rites and with Jim Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery.
