Leona Cray

Leona Mae Cray age 70 of Russellville died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at her home. She was born April 29, 1945 at Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Linzy Thompson and Oma Lee McNeal Thompson Dickens. She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church then moved and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Jasper, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murrell Cray; one son, Fred Glispie; two brothers, Joe Thompson, Tommy Thompson.

Survivors include her children, Michael Glispie (Rhonda Tresvant) of Morrilton, Arkansas, Gwanna Dye, Vonda Dye both of Russellville, Arkansas, Tiffany Dye, James Avinger Jr., Michael Merritt, Gashon Bell; three stepchildren, Marquita Cray, Murrell Cray Jr., Michael Donaldson all of Lake City, Florida; seven brothers, Charles Thompson (Martha) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Oscar Thompson of Springfield, Missouri, Jimmy Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, James Thompson (Regenia) of Dardanelle, Bobby Thompson of Dardanelle, Edward Thompson of Russellville, Anthony Thompson of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tramarious Dye, Calvin Jonas Jr., Antonius Strickland Jr., Tonyrian Strickland, Javarious Strickland, Taylor Glispie, Juan Roundtree; one uncle, James McNeal of Kansas City, Kansas; one aunt, Sue McNeal of Houston; a host of nieces and nephews and very special friends, Doretha Bryant of Jasper, Florida, Clarence Dye of Jasper, Florida, James Glispie of Jacksonville, Florida and a lot of people she cared for and about.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, 12:30P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Dominique Thompson, Karmel Thompson, Michael Merritt, James Avinger Jr., Tramarious Dye, Calvin Jonas Jr., Antonio Strickland Jr.
