Leonard Dell "Smiley" Wise, age 74 of Morrilton, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Conway. He was born July 12, 1949 in Havana, Arkansas to the late Odell Wise and Ruthia Guinn Wise. He attended the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon Johnston, Ray Johnston and a sister, Sophia Johnston-Tuggy.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Velma Walls-Wise of Morrilton; his children, Leonard DeWayne Wise, Sandra Bausley (Cedric), Donnie Wise (Melissa), Christian Wise of Las Vegas; stepchildren, George Bates III, Tanisha Bogard (Randy), Mauchella Bates (Emmaly); siblings, Carolyn Wise of California, Larry Wise of Maumelle, LaRuth Wise of England, Jean Johnston of South Dakota and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Guinn Cemetery in Havana. Visitation will be held Saturday, 9:00A.M. to 10:00A.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
