Leta Mae George age 73 of Danville passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Baptist Heath Medical Center in Conway.

Leta was born May 6, 1948 in Russellville to the late Frank and Estelle Woodard Noblett. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church, a homemaker, mother, grandmother and a well-known seamstress. Leta was a shining example of Christlike service and love, spending many hours serving in multiple capacities at the Danville First Baptist Church. Her special gift was making each person feel loved and appreciated, whether it was preparing a meal, mending a dress or simply providing a listening ear.

Her family is thankful for all the visits, well wishes, and prayers from the community, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Samuel David George.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Raymond George; sons and daughters-in-law, Allan & Leigh Ann George of Russellville; Jimmy & Beth George of Dutch Creek; Brent & Kelley George of Russellville; grandchildren, Brandon & Kristin George of Russellville; Brittany George of Springdale; Kamryn George of Fayetteville; Avery George of Fayetteville; Hannah George of Arkadelphia; Reece George and Oliver George of Russellville.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Danville First Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Morris officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am before service at the church. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Bob McCool, Forrest Moudy, Rusty George, Harold Pledger, Joe Hissom and Larry Ennis.

Honorary pallbearers include Waymon Sides, Todd Sanders, Harry Kimball, Johnny Cogburn, Harv Klinegardner, Bill Campbell and Stan Garner.
