Obituary

Linda S. McCourt of Havana passed away Friday September 22, 2017. She was a member of the Church of Christ from a young age. She taught elementary school in Texas and Arkansas and retired from chambers Bank in 2009.

Linda was born August 17, 1940 in Kress, Texas to O.P. and Grace Lindley. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Joe Lindley.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John McCourt of Havana; daughters and son, Denise (David) Gipson of Clinton; Helen McCourt of Oak Point, Texas; David McCourt of Oak Point, Texas; Becca (Aimee) McCourt of Dallas, Texas; brother, Jim (Pat) Lindley of Aurora, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Judy Lindley of Dallas, Texas; Alma McCourt of Havana; Laura Ethel McCourt of Danville; several nieces and nephews and many family and friends.

Service will be 10 am Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Western Yell County Church of Christ with Bro. Danny Burelson officiating. Burial will be Moores Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearer include Gary McCourt, Perry McCourt, Daryl Wiseman, James Pendergraft, Mark Pryor and Brad Martin.

Honorary pallbearers include the elders and deacons of Western Yell county Church of Christ, Ed White, Andy Tackett, Roy Hodges, Eddie Browning, Kevin Darbee; Matt Taylor, Jarrod Pryor and Jameson Dobbs.

The family would like to Thank the following for their loving care of Linda; Leah Dobbs, Arkansas hospice, Mitchells Nursing Home, Chamber Hospital, Dr. Philip Tippin and staff and most especially everyone at Crowleys Place.
