Lloyd Ray Pruitt, 80 of Russellville, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Advanced Care Hospital in Searcy.  He was born September 10, 1944 in Yell County, Arkansas to the late Raymond and Ezelle (Woodard) Pruitt.  He was retired from Firestone where he worked in the maintenance department.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Donald Ray "Donnie" Pruitt.

Lloyd was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, whose love for his family and friends knew no bounds. He had a remarkable ability to repair or build anything, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. He found immense joy in his garden, lovingly nurturing his plants and generously sharing the bountiful harvest with friends and family. His passion for travel took him and his wife on adventures across the country and around the world, where they created memories and cherished experiences together. On many occasions, you could find him twirling his wife around the dance floor, their love reflected in every graceful move. A good neighbor through and through, he was always there to help others, leaving a legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering support.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nell Pruitt; a daughter and son-in-law, Karoline and David Whorton; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Ashley Whorton.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15th at Moores Chapel Church with Pastor Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery, Waveland.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville.
