Lonnie R Haney II, 53 from Danville, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2023.  Born September 6, 1970, in Syracuse Kansas to Lonnie (Karen) Haney Sr and the late Barbara Coffman Haney Johnson and is the grandson of late George and Johnie Mae Haney and Evelyn and Bunny Coffman.  He is survived by his wife Barbara Jackson-Haney and two sons Daulton & Logan Haney (Their mother Angela Michelle Donathan).  He also leaves behind his siblings JJ (Sarah) Haney from Bastrop, LA, Ronnie Haney from Farmington, AR, Jenny Haney from Kansas City, KS, Teresa Haney, Josh & Amanda Foster, Katie Haney all from Yell County, Jennifer (Marty) Kinslow from Palmira, NY, Stephanie Johnson from Atkins and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lonnie earned his GED in 1989 and went on to graduate from LSU Alexandria in Transportation services and eventually retired from truck driving and logistics.

Lonnie earned the Rank of E-4 in the U.S. Army and served during Operation Desert Storm when he enlisted in 1990 until his honorable discharge in 1994.

Lonnie grew up going to multiple schools but longest and most loyal to Atkins High School where he made many lifelong friends and considered himself a true Red Devil. Lonnie loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and college football along with hunting.  The most important thing in his life was his family.  He loved his wife and kids dearly.

A small memorial service will be held at 5pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at  Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel, located at 207 Quay Street Dardanelle, AR 72834. Visitation will be held Tuesday at 5:30pm at the chapel after the service.
