Lonnie Eugene Melton age 62 of Briggsville passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Mitchells Nursing Home.

He was born August 15, 1949 in Briggsville, AR. to the late Opal & Mary Cooper Melton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son, Shad Melton of Houston, TX; sisters, Clema Sue Aist of Conway; Kay Duggan of DeQueen; very special friend, Susie Copenhaver of Sand Springs, OK; two nephews, three nieces and numerous great-nieces and nephews. And many many dear and special friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville with Rev. Lacey Minnie officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday November 11, 2011.

Pallbearers include Billy Lofland, Jay Briggs, Larry Wayne James, William Hall, Ronnie Spears, Billy Harris, Glenn Prescott, Jacob Lofland, Joe Lee Buford and Joe Dishongh.
