Lorene Pelt passed away July 29, 2014 at Deerview Health Care in Ola, Arkansas. She was born Dec. 7, 1924 in Aly, Arkansas to Ola Lambert. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a past member of the Plainview EH Club and served on the Yell County Cancer Board. She and J.Dee owned Pelt Discount Store in Plainview from 1970 to 1984. She is preceded in death by her mother and her husband of 64 years J.Dee Pelt. She is survived by one son Jim and Lyn Pelt of Collierville, TN and 3 daughters, Debbie and Bobby Crow of Dardanelle , Dana Buttry of Pea Ridge and Diane and Barry Tippin of Ola. Eleven grandchildren, Chris and Kristy Pelt of Germantown, TN, Penny and Les Owens of Memphis, TN, Donna and Paul Selman of Brentwood, TN, Mandy and Matt McClellan of Conway, Erin and Nathan Mills of Alma, Sheri and John David Sykes of Dardanelle, Brooke and Kurtis Greene of Pea Ridge, Brett and Rodney Long of Bella Vista, Dustin Tippin of Sedalia, MO., Dylan Tippin and his fiancé Summer Vodrazka of Texarkana, Brittany and Geoff West of Cordova, TN and 22 great grand children and her aunt Iva Owens. The Funeral will be 2pm Saturday Aug. 2, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Plainview. Bro. Scott Miller will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery in Plainview. The pallbearers will be the grandsons - in- law, Les Owens, Paul Selman, Matt McClellan, Nathan Mills, John David Sykes, Kurtis Greene , Rodney Long and Geoff West.
