Lowell Dean Birkhead age 82 of Dardanelle, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born October 5, 1938 to the late Lowell S. and Corlela Birkhead of Dardanelle. After retiring from John Deere, he and his wife owned and operated the Mountaintop Shop on Petit Jean Mountain. He was a member of the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church. Mr. Birkhead was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brent Alden Birkhead and twin great-grandsons, Jacks and Nathan Hunt.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Janis Birkhead; son, Jeffrey Hunt (Connie) of Senatobia, MS; one sister, Mavis Welsh (Don) of Maumelle, AR; grandchildren, Bailey Hunt, (Margaret) Bedford Hunt (Katie Summers) all of Senatobia, MS. and Anna-Blair Hunt of Curacao; great grandchildren, Sidney Kate Hunt, Mary Jenkins Hunt, Davis Hunt all of Senatobia, MS. And a niece, Roxanne Harper (Wayne) of Pine Bluff, AR.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine with Bro. Jim Benfer officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 10:00A.M. to noon at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.
