Loyd Bentley Adkison age 84 of Dardanelle passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 22, 1937 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Lonnie and Edith Utley Adkison. He was a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Chickalah and a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he retired after 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mattie Lou Boling Adkison; one brother, Everette Adkison and three sisters, Margaret Holman, Jewelean Keef and Marie Norris.

Survivors include his three children, Ronnie Adkison (Carol), James Adkison (Joann), Don Adkison (Amy); one brother, Bobby Gene Adkison; four grandchildren, Ronna Linker, Brian Adkison, Jacob Adkison, Emily Hendershot and six great grandchildren, Kinleigh Adkison, Olivia Linker, Lennox Adkison, Troy Hendershot, Brooks Adkison and Kate Hendershot.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle with Bro. Kent Tallent officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, noon to 1:30P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dardanelle Senior Center.
