Lucille Virginia James age 84 of Danville passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville.

She was born October 18, 1926 in Michigan City, Mississippi to the late Ernest Benjamin & Sadie Louella Cupp Jones. She was a nurse aid at the Danville Hospital where she helped delivery many babies for many years and a member of the Ascension Life Church.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim James; brothers Ernest Jr. and Fred; sister Ada, Grace, Berdie, Ernestine, Sadie, and Molly.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Tommy & Karen James of Waveland; Larry & Louise James of Birta; brother, Paul Jones of Waveland; sisters & brother-in-law, Ruthie & Jake James of Dardanelle and Rosa White of Russellville; grandchildren, Steven Baskin & Rusty James of Birta; Tammy McConaha of Arizona; Mike James of Russellville; Jennifer Johnson of Texas; 8 great-grandchildren; very dear friend Mrs. Ruby Wimbush of Danville and many nieces & nephews.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Ascension Life Church with Rev. Lynn Garner officiating. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Junior Green, Rickey Ramey, Jerry Don Ramey, Benny James, Freddie Jones, Randy Hefner and Tinker Hefner.

Honorary pallbearers include Charlie Carpenter and Albert Moats.
