Lula May Verser Cook age 86 of Russellville, Arkansas died Friday, June 24, 2016. She was born August 19, 1929 at Shiloh, Arkansas to the late John and Lue Carlton Verser. Lula was a member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville where she faithfully attended as long as her health permitted. She was a loving, devout servant of God and always had a willing heart to do His work. Her children were the love of her life and she raised them to know Him. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Ted Cook; daughter, Vicky Cook Cole; five brothers, Walter "Dock" Verser, Alton Verser, J C Verser, Theo Verser, Clayton Verser and four sisters, Eva Brady, Pearl Birdsong, Mary Birdsong and Opal Scherzer.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Bryant of Parker, Colorado; her son, Harlan Jay Cook of Russellville; three granddaughters, were also the loves of her life, Heather Perry, Andrea Anders, Stephanie Bryant and three great grandchildren, Dillon and Sophia Perry, Baker Cash Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Doug Hambrick officiating. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shelton Bailey, James Campbell, Aaron Campbell, Kevin Campbell, John Gasaway, Tod Rye.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Stone, Leo Stone, Bill Barker, Jim Glover and Chad Rye.
