Obituary

Luther Carroll Hance, 84, of Casa, Arkansas, passed away on July 3, 2026, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, Arkansas. Born on May 7, 1942, in Needmore, Arkansas, Luther was the son of Usty Edmond Hance and Ethel Claire Hance. He spent his life in Yell County and worked in construction before retiring. He earned his GED and was a member of the Petit Jean Masonic Lodge.

Luther was a man who loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and spending time at deer camp. He never met a stranger and was known for his warm heart, friendly nature, and willingness to visit with anyone. Above all, he treasured his family and found great joy in spoiling his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Ginger Hance; his son, Randy Hance; and his siblings, Hazel Robinson, Wilma Via, Bud Hance, George Hance, Lola Smith, Bernice Scruggs, and Betty Tanner.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Scott Hance and wife, Carrie, of Casa; his daughter-in-law, Sherry Hance Sawyer; his grandchildren, Madeline Cano and husband, Skylar, Cutter Hance, Lawson, Lane, Cynthia Biggs, and Camdn Milligan; along with many extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff at Mitchell’s Nursing Home and to Robert Mitchell for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to Luther and his family.

Luther will be remembered for his gentle spirit, love of the outdoors, unwavering

devotion to his family, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 9:00A.M. to 10:00A.M. at Needmore Cemetery. Funeral service will follow at 10:00A.M. with Bro. Gene Tanner officiating.

Pallbearers will be Charles Hance, Michael Hance, Cutter Hance, Skylar Cano, Barry Fisher and Lawson Biggs.
