Luther Standridge age 98 of Dover went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home. He was born March 29, 1918 at Hector to the late Travis and Myrtle Branch Standridge. He was a WWII Veteran serving with the 89th Engineer Heavy Pontoon Battalion where he received the following: WWII Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, Fame theater Ribbon, 2 Bronze Service Stars, AP Theater Ribbons – Asiatic Pacific Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, GO23 HQ USAFFE 45 Lapel Button, ASR Score (2 Sept. 46) 73. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for over 55 years and a former pastor of Pine Meadows Pentecostal Church in Dover. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Standridge; two daughters, Jeannie Ward and Lavina Ann Standridge.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Smelser (Tom) of Dover; one son, Ronnie Standridge (Dailana) of Pottsville; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00P.M., Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Pentecostals of Russellville Church with Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Dover. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Porter III, Chase Porter, Chance Porter, Kade Billyard, Ethan Billyard, Blake Standridge.
