Lynda Dean Holbrook, 64 of Atkins, passed away peacefully May 3, 2013 at Atkins Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 11, 1949 in Lepanto, Arkansas to the late Mong and Mable Collins Prater. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buddy Holbrook; a son, Ricky Holbrook; a grandson Paul Holbrook, Jr.; four brothers, Forest Eugene, Max, Horace, and Lee Prater; three sisters, Alice Marie, Ellen Powell, and Joyce Hill. Survivors include four sons, Joey Holbrook of London, Paul Holbrook of Dover, Chris Holbrook of Louisiana, and Edgar Holbrook of Atkins; two sisters, Lorene Jackson of Pottsville and Evelyn Duvall of Dover; two brothers, Ricky Prater of Atkins, James Prater of Russellville; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home and River Valley Cremations of Dardanelle.
