Madge Louise Carothers, age 94 of Dardanelle, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born January 26, 1928 in Harkey Valley, Arkansas to the late Doc Rector and Sybil Belle Robinson. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, she worked for Arvac, Area Agency on Aging, Dr. Jerome Luker and Dr. Ray Ferguson. Her hobbies were needlepoint, quilting, reading, party planning, gardening, cooking and baking. She loved taking care of her grandkids, she loved her baby cat, and her granddogs. She was preceded in death by her father, Doc Rector and her mother, Sybil Nail; husband of 28 years, J.T. Carothers; son, Dennis Carothers and brothers, Roy Rector, Opal Rector and a sister-in-law, Gerry Rector.

Survivors include her children, Joann Carothers, Jan Driver (Rick); brother, Donny Rector (Karen); grandchildren, Jay Carothers (Amanda), Drew Morris, Savannah Vaughn, and Sara Gowen (John) and great grandchildren, Jaylon Carothers, Dylan Marshall, Jacob Gowen and Isabelle Gowen and a daughter-in-law, Diane Carothers.
