Margie G. Fuchs age 82 of Havana, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born May 7, 1931 in Southmayd, Texas to the late Robert & Emma Nevada Ray Cary. She attended school in Eugene, Oregon, she then worked as a switchboard operator for the railroad in Eugene, Oregon. She was a member of the E.H. Club, Past President of the Waveland E.H. Club, she won numerous awards for her quilting talents, and the Distinguished Service Award in December 9, 2009. She was often asked to judge crocheting, knitting, and other hand-work at the county fairs and festivals. Preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 44 years John C. Fuchs; sons & daughters-in-law David & Donna Spaght of Havana; Bruce & Darci Spaght of Havana; daughters & sons-in-law Pam & Paul Larson of Eldoret , Africa; Vickie & Jim Wilson of Olympia WA; grandchildren, Jessica Spaght, Christopher Spaght, Gavin Atkins, Joe & Aaron Pierre, Benjamin Larson, Beth Parker, Kobi, Kyle, & Corey Wilson; Great-grandchildren Georgia Spaght and Gauge Spaght-Hintze; sisters & brother-in-law Pat & Jim Peek of Moscow, Idaho; Melba Tone of Eugene, OR; brother, Bob Cary of Bend, OR; Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Moore's Chapel Cemetery with Rev Jeff Smith officiating. Pallbearers include Raymond Turner, David Turner, Ben Gatlin, Aaron Albright, Dennis Miller and Dennis Catlett.
