Marilyn Jones, 83, passed away on April 13, 2019, at her home in Russellville, Arkansas.  She was born on April 15, 1935, in Danville, Arkansas, to the parents of Joe and Kate Nunn.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Jana Bea Jones.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Joe Jones, Jr., and children Joseph Andrew Jones, Amy Whorton (Greg) of Russellville, Dan Jones (Melodi) of Fayetteville, and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Katherine Bowden (Arnold) and Betty Moore (Bob), from Russellville, her brother James Nunn of Camano Island, Washington, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Marilyn attended Arkansas Tech University.  She worked at the Western Arkansas Telephone Company in Russellville, where she met Joe Jones, with whom she was married for 63 years.  She was a devoted wife, moving many places throughout the United States following Joe's career as an engineer with Monsanto.    At the time of his retirement, Marilyn and Joe moved to Russellville in 1985.  Marilyn worked for Quality Rentals in Russellville for 20 years.

Marilyn was a skilled seamstress, wonderful cook, master of crafts, and possessed a competitive spirit for games of all kinds…especially bridge.  She enjoyed family gatherings and knew the favorite dishes of her children, grandchildren (and friends they brought with them), cooking for everyone with pleasure.

A private family service has been held.
