Mark Gifford Tims, age 70 of Havana, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was born October 27, 1955 in Danville, Illinois to the late Troy Donovan and Francis E. Smith Tims. He retired as a tele-communications technician and a member of the Ranger Free Will Baptist Church. Whether in his shop or out in the woods, Grandad was always prepared for anything and had a tool or a solution for every situation. Above all, he was a devout Christian whose deep faith anchored his life. While we dearly miss his laugh, hugs, stories, silliness, and generous heart, we will find peace knowing he is home in the arms of his Heavenly Father—exactly where he always knew he would be. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Valorie Steele, and brother Troy Tims, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Tims; children, Lesley Ross (Robert), Johnathan Carter (Elysia), Christopher Tims (Kim), Timothy Tims, Michael Tims; sister, Gayla Moody (Jess); 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Elijah, Daltyn, Kaitlyn, Carissa, and Troy; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, September 21, 2026, at Cornwell Funeral Chapel at Dardanelle with Brother Shane Chancellor officiating.
