Jean Gaines Martha Jean Gaines, 85 of Waldo, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born January 11, 1929 in Stamps, Arkansas to the late Lewie Chester "Buddy" and Susie Marie Tatom Fields. She was retired from Alcoa where she worked in the accounting department. She was a member of the Magnolia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Harold Gaines; her parents; grandson, Steven Delaney; sister, Frances Ellen; brothers, LC Fields and Dickie Fields. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Sara Gaines of Little Rock, Russell and Sharon Gaines of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Andy Tackett of Danville; sister, Emily Sabo of Texarkana, Texas; brother, Mike and Sharon Fields of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ramon Arteaga, Heather and Jeremy Casey, Crystal and Jason Kavanaug, Adrienne and Brian Meachum, Daniel and Kim Gaines, Derek Gaines, Dylan Gaines, and Andrew and Emily Tackett; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cade, and Lily Meachum, Murron and Uriah Arteaga, Mickayla and Wyatt Casey, Madison, Caleb, and Rylee Gaines, Jay, Jordan, and Justin Kavanaugh. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13th at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas with Brother John McCourt officiating. The family will receive visitors at the Chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will be at Columbia Cemetery, Waldo.
