Martha Jean Johnson age 88 of Ola died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born December 4, 1929 at Birta, Arkansas to the late Earl and Ora J. George Gaydon. She loved reading, spending time with her family and running the roads with her good friend, Nancy Sloan. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clyde Tillery and Leon Gaydon.

Survivors include her children, Marie Lawrence, James Johnson, Bruce Johnson (Connie), Bobby Johnson (Terri), Bonnie McGee (Joey); one sister, Carrie Dean Carriker (Bill); six grandchildren, Jeanna Reddell, Jessica Robinson, Joshua Johnson, Cory Johnson, Amanda Alphabet, Zach Grendell; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one nephew, Retired Col. Russ Carriker (Cheryl) and two great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Ola First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
