Martha "Marty" Kirby, of Council Hill, OK, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at her home at the age of 72. She was born on August 29, 1945, to Leo and Martha (Lamb) Bland in Danville, AR. She grew up in Yell County and married and became a homemaker. Marty attended college and received her LPN and began working at Turley Correctional Center. After retiring in 2000, she worked at Oakwood Harbor. On November 7, 2003, she married the love of her life, Leonard Kirby in Hitchita, OK.

Marty loved flower gardening and her grandkids. She was a great cook and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

Marty was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, Leonard Kirby and her 2 children, Lynn Lampkins and Kathy Wilson and her stepmother, Lee Bland. She is lovingly survived by her father, Leo Bland, her brothers, Don Bland (Linda), Billy Joe Bland (Kellie); her sisters, Mary Lee (Garry), Linda Domerese (Jerry) and Sherry Ball; her step-sons, Wesley Kirby (Heather), Steve Kirby (Kacy); her sisters-in-law, Mary Kiby, Mona Ridge (Bill) and Janice Jones (Brad); her brother-in-law, Wallace Kirby (Ethel). Marty is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday, June 14, from 6-8 pm at Cornwell Funeral Home Danville, AR. A service celebrating her life will be held as 10 am on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Wilson Free Will Baptist Church in Belleville AR. with Rev Mark King officiating and burial to follow at Russell Cemetery at Belleville, AR.
