Jane Payne

Martha "Jane" Payne age 82 of Dardanelle passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her home. She was born April 24, 1939 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late Rupert C. Hill and Mary Rebecca Parks Hill. She attended the Dardanelle United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Model "T" Ford Club of America, River Valley Antique Auto Club, Arkansas Tin Lizzies, Diamond State Chevrolet Club, Magnolia Model "T" Club and Vintage Chevrolet Club of America. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Tom Hill, Dean Hill and four sisters, Lorene Scheer, Bernice Weatherford, Thelma Ray and Melba Manasco.

Survivors include her husband of almost 61 years, Bill Payne of Dardanelle; two children, Alisa Strang (Paul) of Fairfield Bay, Tena Ragsdale (David) of Russellville; grandchildren, Will Ragsdale (Jordan) of Russellville, Lauren Allinson (Michael) of Russellville, Daniel Strang (Sara) of Fort Smith, Makala Ziegler (Austin) of Jacksonville and great grandchildren, Luke and Addie Jane Allinson of Russellville, Tena Sue Ragsdale of Russellville, Zack and Rozalie Strang of Fort Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul L. Strang and Rev. Paul Seay officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Paul Strang, David Ragsdale, Will Ragsdale, Michael Allinson, Daniel Paul Strang and Austin Ziegler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Weatherford, Terry Weatherford, Doug Manasco, Skip Downing, Mike Porterfield, Michael Porterfield and Joe Ragsdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kindred Hospice or the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church.
