Mary Ellen McGee, 62, of Dardanelle, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 28, after a battle with cancer. Mary was born on January 18, 1956 to Jerry Fred Sr. and Betty Jane (Pfeifer) McGee. She graduated from Dardanelle High School and received a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Arkansas Tech University. She worked for many years as manager of Professor Bowl in Little Rock until her retirement to Dardanelle to take care of her parents. She attended Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church where she loved working with the children.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jerry Fred McGee Jr. She is survived by her sister Vicki (Bob) Crow of North Little Rock, her brother Jeff (Dana) McGee of Dardanelle, sister-in-law Cindy (Mike) Vollers of Oklahoma City, OK, nieces Lisa Crow, Stacey Temple (Crystal Huddleston) and Ellie (John Barbour); nephews Trey, Travis, Jake and Jared McGee, Don and Sam Temple, and great nieces Emma Grace McGee, Emma Ellzey, Alex Temple and Emmie Barbour. She will be missed by her numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank all the staff of the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center for their wonderful care and support.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. A memorial service celebrating Mary's life will be held Wednesday at 10:00A.M. at the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chuck Trusty officiating.
