Mary Beth Harris Monroe age 87 of Danville passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her home.

Mary was born August 10, 1935 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Erskin & Verda Harris. She married Joe Monroe in 1957 and they had two daughters. She worked outside of the home and always worked at home. She was always cooking, cleaning, sewing, or out in the garden and pool. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and grandmother. She had so many friends she loved dearly and enjoyed big family meals and laughing at the kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Noel, Rex, Cecil Berry, and Parnell Harris.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Joe Monroe; daughters, Kathy & Larry Frazier; Patty & Rusty Defoor; sister, Doris Majors; grandchildren, Kari & Josh Gossett; Kala & Mike Mitchell; Katie & Spencer Vereen; Kelsey & Dewayne Lytle; Kodi Frazier; Tyson & Amanda Apple; Ashley & Derrick Pledger; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Kenna, and MaryAnne Apple; Randall and Alexandra Johnston; Parker and Paisley Sheets, Lila Mitchell; Brielle Noakes, Brinley and Greyson Pledger.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, September 23, at the Danville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, September 22, at the funeral home.
