Mary Dotts Straker age 93 of Danville passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born May 15, 1920 in Bluffton, Arkansas to the late Urie & Eddie Daniels Swaim. She was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church. She loved life, traveling and politics. Before Mary and her husband Larry retired in Danville they had lived and worked in San Francisco, New York, Florida, Texas and Arkansas. They owned & operated businesses in Florida, Texas, and Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence "Larry" Straker and sister Eddie Grace Honey. Survivors include sister, Ann Wisner of Danville, nephew, John T and Stephanie Honey of Abilene, Texas, Alan and Samantha Wisner of Ft.Worth, Texas; niece, Dana and Jerry Spears of Briggsville; and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Jerry Spears, Rodney Spears, James Spears, Robert Burks, Melvin Bottoms, and Steve Pfeifer. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Earl Ladd Cemetery with Rev Tom Sullinger officiating.
