Maudie Mae Burnett age 87 of Plainview passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born August 4, 1924 in Tahlequah, OK. to the late Monroe & Ethel Mae Vaughn Swinford. She was a nurse's aide and homemaker. She was a Christian and attended Plainview FreeWill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Burnett; son Bobby Burnett son & daughter-in-law Carlos Ray & Faye Burnett; granddaughter Robin Alfaro; parents; brother James Swinford Jr; sisters Inez Reeves and Ruby Lee. Survivors include daughters & son-in-laws, Annette & Paul Moss of Plainview; Shirley & Johnny Barnum of Clay; Betty Woodall of Conway; sister Lorene Smith of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Plainview FreeWill Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery in Haletown. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday before service at the Plainview FreeWill Baptist Church. Pallbearers include Roy Treadwell, David Barnum, Joey Benefield, Josh Altom, Leroy Osborn and Kris Burnett.
