Maxine Mildred Ray age 92 of Havana passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

Maxine was born February 28, 1930 in Hoxie, Arkansas to the late William Stanley & Ethel Mae Schales Jones Jr. She was a cattle rancher. Past president of the Yell County Cattlemen Association, she had been very active in the Havana E.H. Club and Yell County Fair.She was preceded in death by her husband Senator Joe Ray; sisters, Charlsa Copeland, and Tina Patterson; brother Jerry Jones.

Survivors include her children, Janet & Jim Ake of Danville; Don Renfro of Havana; and Randy & Debbra Renfro of Havana; sisters, Billie Harvey of California; Dorothy Keathley of Belleville; brother, Ken Jones of Springdale; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
