Melba Florene Ramey age 91 of Danville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born November 28, 1934 in Havana, Arkansas to the late Jake James and Vela Mobley James. Florene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carrol Daniel "Meat Ball" Ramey; and her siblings, Jake James, Jr., Lizzie Priddy, Jim James, Robert James, and John James.

Survivors include her two children, Rick (Jessie) Ramey, Jerry Don (Brenda) Ramey; grandchildren, Gus (Kelli) Ramey, Woodrow (Tayler) Ramey, Samantha Ramey; great grandchildren, Collins Ramey, Greyson Ramey and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. The Ramey family would like to express special thanks to Karen James and the staff of Mitchell's Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Danville First Baptist Church with W.A. Gorman officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be in Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville.

Pallbearers will be Rick Ramey, Jerry Don Ramey, Gus Ramey, Woodrow Ramey, Brody Ramey and Randy Hefner.
