Mickey Joe Morris, age 68 of Dover, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born August 24, 1954 in Friona, Texas to the late Nolan H. Morris and Betty Jean Bryant Morris. Mickey was of the Baptist Faith and he was a Retired United States Army Veteran. After his Military Service, he went to work at Arkansas Nuclear One where he worked as the Security Shift Supervisor for 10 years before his retirement. He was also a 10 plus year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3928 serving as current Arkansas State President. He also loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Anna Ross Morris of the home; two children, Brandon Morris (Amie) of Alabama, Jenny Rebecca Morris of Atkins; one brother, Nolan H. Morris Jr. (Patricia) of Morrilton; three sisters, Jean McDaniel (Scooter) of Altheimer, Rita Brixey (Bill) of Casa, Lana Robinson (Benny) of Dardanelle; three grandchildren, Kylee Morris Williams (Dakota), Carlee Morris, Marlee Morris, all of Alabama and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday at the Dardanelle First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Ethan Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the church. Burial will be in Casa Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrell McDaniel, Richie Garcia, Brandon Gibby, Chris Pumphrey, Tim Bradley, Joey Morrison and Dylan Rhodes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Officers and Members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Arkansas Chapter, 11324 Arcade Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72212.
